HandBrake

HandBrake is a open source tool, built by volunteers, for converting video from nearly any format to a selection of modern, widely supported codecs.

Specifically for Visual based products, testers and developers can use this tool on videos to verify the compatibility of software across different devices, browsers, or platforms, convert videos to different formats using Handbrake and compare the output to ensure consistency and quality across various formats.

While Handbrake may not be the primary tool for these purposes, the general idea is to leverage video recording capabilities to enhance testing and development processes.
